This place is dangerous to the waistline, but oh-so-craveworthy. It's a challenge waiting for the kitchen to whip these up from scratch (about 15-20 minutes if there's no wait). My favorite so far are…

Progressions. A garden is ever-changing. I resolv Progressions. A garden is ever-changing.

I resolve to photograph my flower beds every week of the year from now on. The front yard flower bed has undergone drastic changes over 11 years, from full sun to nearly full shade, all because of the shantung maple that grew alongside it.

My chaos gardening tendencies haven't synced often with the changing light conditions in this bed. I've planted many things that perished due to unmet soil, light and watering needs. Some experiments also far exceeded expectations. It's those special but rare outcomes that I've been chasing ever since.

It resists the weed torch! Pretty crazy how it laughs at fire! All I can do is pull it out by the roots and pray that I don't leave some part of it behind!

I've already laid down commercial landscape fabric in some paths where I can't keep up with it

It's tiny and pink and flutters erratically! Googl It's tiny and pink and flutters erratically! Google says it's a Southern Pink Moth!

It seems that this species favors salvia species as its host. It just so happens that it's buzzing around Salvia greggii Mirage Soft Pink 🩷 (but I have salvias all over the yard!)

I wish it could've settled down a bit so I could take a macro close-up.
